Drive Snapshot

Damaged or missing data is cause for great frustration. If you want to avoid this, generating regular backups is a must. There is a long list of programs that are capable of creating an exact image of a hard drive or a part of a hard drive (in other words, a partition) and saving it to a specified location. The saved copy is also known as a disk image. Disk images can be used to quickly restore important data should problems arise.

The octoplant system supports the creation of disk images with Drive Snapshot from Tom Ehlert Software, the individual steps for which are set out in this tutorial.

The aim of this tutorial is to provide the user with the knowledge required for creating Drive Snapshot images with octoplant. Basic knowledge of the octoplant system, as well as experience with Drive Snapshot is required.
