Asset Management reports
The Asset Management module provides several views that help you understand the devices connected to your Octoplant environment. These views use the data collected through Asset Analysis, which extracts device details during job execution and makes them available in Octoplant pro hub.

For more about Asset Analysis and how it is configured, refer to Extract asset information.
What this module provides
The module includes a set of reports designed to answer different questions about your assets. Each report consists of one or more pages that present the data in different ways. Some pages focus on individual devices, and others summarize attributes or show relationships between devices in a network.
The following reports are available in the Asset Management module.
Info
If this module is not visible, the required permissions are not assigned. Contact your administrator to request access.
The table below outlines the information included in each report and its relevance.
The majority of reports consist of multiple pages, accessible via tabs at the bottom of the report.
The Details tab provides a table with detailed information about each unit (e.g., component or job).
Additionally, most reports feature at least one page with diagrams and graphics with global statistics presenting data breakdowns by specific criteria.
| Name | Description | Pages | Typical questions this report answers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Asset Inventory | Detailed information about the assets stored in the Octoplant servers | Asset overview, Asset summary, Network overview | Which assets are in use? Which firmware versions run on these assets? |
| Vulnerabilities | Detailed information about detected vulnerabilities in your production environment. Vulnerability reports are deactivated by default. To activate them, contact support through the myAMDT portal. | Vulnerability overview | Which assets in my production environment are vulnerable? How vulnerable are these assets? |
About the Asset Inventory pages
The Asset Inventory report includes three dedicated pages. Each page provides a different perspective on your environment and supports a specific type of analysis.
Asset overview
A device-level view that shows the list of assets detected in your environment. This view reflects the number of assets stored on the server and serves as the entry point for exploring individual devices.
Asset summary
A data-focused view that displays the collected device details in a flat table. This view typically contains more rows than the number of devices shown in the Asset overview because each row represents a specific attribute or data point collected for a device rather than the device itself.
Network overview
A structural view that shows devices in the context of their network relationships. This view often displays more entries than the total number of assets because it includes network nodes or discovered endpoints that are not counted as standalone assets in the Asset overview.
To understand what each view presents, how to interpret the data, and how the information relates across pages, read about each page individually.
