Asset overview
The Asset overview report provides a comprehensive view of the asset landscape on the shopfloor. It gives you a quick and intuitive overview of key dimensions such as vendors, device models, and asset distribution, and it lets you open detailed views for deeper insights.
Content and structure
The report includes the following elements.
Vendor-based bar chart
- Shows the distribution of assets by vendor.
- Serves as a quick filter to narrow the report to specific vendors.
Model-based bar chart
- Shows the number of assets grouped by device model.
- Serves as a quick filter for model-specific analysis.
Matrix table
- Provides hierarchical navigation through the project tree.
- Includes aggregated information such as: Number of different assets, Vendors, Asset categories, Firmware versions.
- Serves as the central point for exploring asset details and relationships.
Global filters
The report includes global filter options that apply to all visual elements on the page:
- Server and component path (combined in a hierarchical filter)
- Vendor
- Model
- Firmware version
The hierarchical filter lists all component paths under each server. Use these filters to refine the view and focus on a specific subset of assets.
Main use case
The primary purpose of this report is to provide a brief overview of the asset landscape on the shopfloor. You identify patterns at a glance and then open detailed views to see more information about specific assets or configurations.
