What's new in octoplant 105.0 (July 2025)

Welcome to our latest release! This update brings new features, fixes, and enhancements designed to improve your experience and streamline functionality.

New version number pattern

In previous releases, the version numbering structure included a fixed prefix followed by the major and minor version numbers, formatted as v101.4.1 (in this example, v101 is the prefix, 4 is the major version, and 1 is the minor version).

Starting with this release, the version numbering has been simplified to a format such as v105.0, which includes only the major and minor version numbers and no fixed prefix. Image: Version number pattern

Note on the release notes

The codes listed beneath certain entries (e.g., TSR-xxxxx) are support ticket references. These allow users and support teams to track specific issues, improvements, and feature requests that have been addressed in this release.

  • Released the initial set of web-based functionalities accessible via a browser, featuring a new client UI/UX and reduced installation overhead. The features include:

    • Navigation and viewing of the various octoplant components
    • Ability to download a version’s .zip file to your local computer
    • Ability to start a pre-configured job

To improve the interaction of various product components, we are constantly optimizing the corresponding interfaces.

  • REST Export API: Implemented a REST export API on the octoplant server to provide streamlined access and data export through a single central access point. The available data matches that of the ExportModule.
