Clients/Agents¶
Supported operating systems¶
The octoplant clients can be used on all Windows operating systems with a kernel version above 10.0. This corresponds to all versions from Windows 10 Update 21H2. We recommend that you do not use any versions of whose support has already been discontinued by Microsoft.
If you are using older operating systems, you have the following options.
Hardware requirements¶

Network connection requirements between a Client/Agent and the end device¶
Minimum requirement: 10 MBit/s
Recommended: 100 MBit/s

When creating Disk Images (with the Image Service, Acronis or Drive Snapshot), no general statement can be made regarding the minimum requirement. In principle, the data to be backed up must be able to be transferred within 4 hours.
