Uninstall clients

If clients arewere installed with the octoplantClient_Setup.exe application, you will find the octoplant client entry in the Windows settings under Apps & Features and can uninstall them there.

Uninstall the clients installed using the Octoplant setup

If the clients were installed using the Setup.exe application, they will not appear under Windows Settings under Apps & Features. You must uninstall these clients using the Setup.exe file.

  1. Execute the Setup.exe file as administrator.
  2. The installation wizard is then started. In the first page, select the language.
  3. No action is required on the welcome page, read the text and select Next.
  4. Terminate the displayed VDog MasterService and PostgreSQL Server subprocesses with Next. If the processes cannot be stopped using the installation wizard, stop them in the Task Manager.
  5. On the next page, select Uninstall Octoplant applications.
  6. Select Next.
  7. On the next page, select Uninstall client applications.
  8. The clients are uninstalled. A message is displayed stating that the archives were not deleted (archives are never deleted during uninstallation).
  9. After successful uninstallation, select Finish to close the wizard.

Info

The client archive is not deleted when the client applications are uninstalled.

LibraryManagement and BackupClient are also uninstalled with the Octoplant setup.
