Define a synchronization partner

This topic describes how to define a synchronization partner before you create a synchronization job.

Synchronization jobs are created for specific partners, meaning servers. Before you create a job, you must define a synchronization partner.

  1. Start the AdminClient and open the Server synchronization module.
  2. Select Edit partners in the menu bar.
  3. The Server configuration dialog opens.
  4. Enter the name and IP address of the server in the Configuration name and Server address fields.
  5. Select Test connection to make sure that a connection is possible between the two servers.
  6. When all ports are displayed in green, save your settings using Save.
