Option 3: UNC upload after job execution¶

Use case¶

A share is created on the device with the old operating system, which can be accessed from the current octoplant system. The contents of this share, i.e. the project data of the old system, can be automatically backed up in octoplant via an UNC job.

Advantages:

Direct access to new features/functions of octoplant
Automatic backup of data without manual effort

Disadvantages:

Necessary to set up a network share on the older systems
