Server

General settings

  • Language of server messages:: Here you can set the language of the messages displayed by the server.

    This setting should not be confused with the selection for the language of the user interface on the client applications, which can be found in the UserClient, in the Client settings dialog.

  • Location of client setup share: Here you can view the current path to the shared directory of the Client setup. This display is for your information only and is updated during the installation of octoplant.

  • Location of local server archive: Here you can view the current path to the server archive.
    This display is for your information only and is updated when octoplant is installed.
  • Location of remote archive: Here you can view the current path to the remote archive on which the server archive is located.
    This display is for your information only and is updated when octoplant is installed.
  • CSV separator: Here you can specify the separator for CSV files that are generated as a report by the ExportModule or sent by the server as an automatic email for job execution. For the reports of the ExportModule, the separator can also be adjusted on a report-specific basis via the parameter file.

Free disk space

A minimum amount of free memory space is required to operate the octoplant system.

  • Warning if free disk space reaches: Here you can specify the available storage space in MB, below which issues a warning in the Event Log module. If configured, an email is also sent to defined users/groups.
  • Error if free disk space reaches: Here you can specify the available storage space in MB, below which an error message is issued in the Event Log module. The system is then switched to Maintenance mode. If configured, an email is also sent to defined users/groups.

Temporary directory

Here you can select or customize the directory for temporarily stored data.
