octoplant data package

You can choose to create and upload your octoplant data package to a hub system automatically or manually.

Enable automatic octoplant data package creation

You can enable automatic creation of a daily data package.

This package contains data from the octoplant server, exported through the ExportModule or the Export API, and displayed graphically in the connected hub system, such as octovision or octoplant pro hub.

To enable automatic creation of a daily data package, perform the following steps:

  1. Under Automatic data package creation and upload, select the Create octoplant data package daily checkbox.
  2. In the Create data package at field, enter the desired time for data package creation.

Create data package manually

Alternatively, you can create a data package and download it to your local computer using the Download data package button. Afterwards you can upload the data package to your hub system.

The manual upload is useful if your server system has no internet connection.

Data retention and configuration

By default, the data package includes only the last 365 days of export data for the following logs:

  • JobResults
  • EventLog
  • AdminLog
  • ComponentLog

If your octoplant server contains a large volume of data, you can adjust this retention period in the server.ini file to prevent excessively large package sizes.

Recipient information

Here, enter the following credentials obtained directly from octovision or the octoplant pro hub:

  • Tenant ID
  • System ID
  • Access Token

These credentials allow data transfer between the octoplant server and the hub system.

Info

Ensure that the Tenant ID, System ID, and Access Token are entered exactly as they appear in octovision or the octoplant pro hub. Any discrepancies will prevent data transfer from the octoplant server to the hub system.

In Interface URL field, enter the URL for the connection to the hub interface. This can be octovision or the octoplant pro hub.

The default value is the URL to the octoplant pro hub.

The URL is stored in the server.ini file.
