Telemetry

With this feature, the link and login credentials for the OpenObserve tool are provided. As an administrator, you can use OpenObserve to collect, search, and analyze logs, metrics, and other data from your octoplant system.

Resource usage

Enabling telemetry can significantly increase the use of server storage and system resources. The exact impact depends on factors such as your server’s data volume and system configuration.

Make sure your infrastructure is properly provisioned before activating this feature.

Prerequisite

  • The AdminClient has to run on the server computer.

Procedure

  1. Select the Enable tracing checkbox.

    The link and the login credentials to OpenObserve remain grayed out. They are only activated, if you restart the client and the server. A corresponding message is displayed.

  2. Use the copy buttons next to the username and password fields to copy the credentials to your clipboard and log in to OpenObserve directly.
