Making additional job settings¶
The Global job settings button in the menu bar opens the Upload type specific configuration dialog, in which you can make both global and upload type-specific settings. The settings in the General tab apply to all jobs. In addition, there is a tab for each upload type, in which settings can be made for jobs of this upload type.
Info
If the settings for an upload type differ from the global settings, the upload type-specific settings apply to the upload type.
Upload and compare¶
The upload of large amounts of data is aborted by default after 30 minutes because a timeout occurs. You can adjust this period in the field Maximum time for job execution: (maximum 540 minutes).
Use the Maximum number of results per job: field to specify the maximum number of entries to be displayed in the UserClient in the Jobs tab (maximum 2000). This value can only be set globally for all Upload types.
Create a version automatically after job run¶
You can use the Enable automatic version creation checkbox to specify whether a new version of the component should be created automatically after each job execution.
The section Create a version automatically after job run is only displayed in the Job configuration area for jobs of this upload type if this checkbox is activated both in the General tab and in the tab for the selected upload type. Here you can use a dropdown list to select in which case a new version is automatically created.
Info
In the Job configuration for components with Multi-user editing, the automatic version creation after job execution must be deactivated. As no Check-Out is possible, the automatically created versions would only increase the memory requirements of the component directory without being able to be checked out and reused.
Email options for executed jobs¶
Info
This section can only be configured globally.
In the Email mode dropdown menu, select when emails should be sent for job executions.
- None: Emails about job executions are deactivated.
- Job specific: An email is sent every time a job is executed.
- Daily: A summary of the job executions from the last 24 hours is sent every day. This avoids sending too many emails.
If you have selected one of the Job specific or Daily options, the Notification section is displayed in the Job configuration area. Here you can specify for each job who should be notified when it is executed.
You can also set how often the email is to be repeated in the event of an error and decide whether the email is to be formatted as HTML or plain text.
For daily emails, you can also specify the time at which the email is sent and whether jobs with the result Equal or deactivated jobs should be displayed in the overview. By default, the Exclude equal and deactivated jobs from overview checkbox is deactivated.
