Script management module

The Script management module is used to configure and manage client and server scripts. This guide covers the basic functions of Script management.

Managing and configuring scripts

Proceed as follows:

  1. Start the AdminClient and open the Script management module.

  2. In the Local files area on the left, navigate to the directory where the script files are stored. In the menu bar, you will find all the buttons for configuring and creating the script event.

  3. Use the Scripting settings button to select which script functions are to be activated.
    This setting can also be found in the Global settings in the AdminClient.
    Edit the script files in the Local files area by selecting the files. The buttons Open, Delete and Rename will be activated.

  4. Use the buttons Select all, New file and New folder to edit and to create new folders and files in the Local files area.
  5. Click on the Refresh button if the view is to be updated.
  6. The Preview button becomes active if you want to create and activate Button scripts. To do this, you must copy a ScriptButton1.bat or ScriptButton1.exe to the Server scripting directory for automatic update of client. You can find detailed information at Configuring script buttons in the AdminClient
  7. Use the arrow symbol Icon Arrow Right to copy the configured script files from the Local files field to the tabs Server scripting directory, Server scripting directory for automatic update of client or Local scripting directory, depending on the required application. Use the arrow symbol Icon Arrow Left to remove already copied scripts from the respective tabs.

  8. Once you have configured all script functions and copied them to the corresponding directories, click on the Apply button to activate the script functions on the server.
