Global settings for emails

In the Global settings module on the Email tab, you can make general settings that apply to all automated emails.

SMTP server settings

There is a high probability that the SMTP server settings have already been entered when setting up octoplant in your company.

  1. If no data has been entered, ask your IT department for the following information:
    • IP or server name of the SMTP server incl. port
    • connection security
    • authentication method
  2. Enter the requested data in the corresponding fields or select the appropriate entries in the Connection security and Authentication method dropdown menus.
  3. Click on the Send test email button to check the email dispatch.

Email settings

We recommend entering a sender for the emails from the octoplant server here, as in many companies emails without a sender are moved to the spam folder. Sending emails also works without sender.
