Global settings for emails¶
In the Global settings module on the Email tab, you can make general settings that apply to all automated emails.
SMTP server settings¶
There is a high probability that the SMTP server settings have already been entered when setting up octoplant in your company.
- If no data has been entered, ask your IT department for the following information:
- IP or server name of the SMTP server incl. port
- connection security
- authentication method
- Enter the requested data in the corresponding fields or select the appropriate entries in the Connection security and Authentication method dropdown menus.
- Click on the Send test email button to check the email dispatch.
Email settings¶
We recommend entering a sender for the emails from the octoplant server here, as in many companies emails without a sender are moved to the spam folder. Sending emails also works without sender.
