Component upload¶
Component upload allows components on different servers to be compared with each other using regular jobs without having to synchronize the data of the entire server.
This can be used in environments with mutually accessible server systems (e.g. headquarters / production sites) in different scenarios.
Example scenario 1¶
The component versions of the individual servers are uploaded to the master server and compared there with the master version. The component upload takes place on the master server.
This procedure can be used to ensure that the component versions at the individual locations are up to date. With the upload of strategically important components, the progress of the update can be monitored. This allows the necessary measures to be taken in good time.
Example scenario 2¶
Component upload takes place on the distributed servers at the individual locations. The locations actively upload the latest component version of the master server to their own server and compare it with the current version.
This procedure is recommended if work instructions or information are to be distributed to the locations or a deployment of the new version is to be carried out.
Integration features¶
- Individual upload type for uploading versiondog components
- Automatic detection of differences between components on different servers
- Continuous display of the change history
