Executing Jobs

Prerequisites

  • Jobs for execution using the BackupClient are available and synchronized from the server to the BackupClient.
  • The automation device that is to be backed up is connected to the BackupClient.

To execute a job, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the BackupClient and log in locally.

    The prerequisite for a local login is to log in to the server once with the same user.

  2. All components for which jobs have been created for execution using the BackupClient are displayed in the Project tree. All existing jobs for the selected component(s) are displayed in the job table.

  3. Select one or more jobs that you want to execute. If you want to display information on the job progress directly when executing the job, select the Show progress information button. You can view this information later using the Event log button.
  4. Select the Execute selected jobs once button in the menu bar.
  5. The job or jobs are executed.
  6. A backup is created if the execution is successful.
  7. If the job is selected in the job table, the results of the job execution are displayed in the job results table.
