Execute BackupClient jobs

Once you have synchronized backup jobs from the server to your BackupClient, you can execute them on-site to create backups of your automation devices.

Prerequisites

  • Jobs for execution using the BackupClient are available and synchronized from the server to the BackupClient.
  • The automation device that is to be backed up is connected to the BackupClient.
  • To log in locally to the BackupClient, you must first log in to the server at least once.

Procedure

  1. Open the BackupClient and login locally.

All components for which jobs have been created for execution using the BackupClient are displayed in the Project tree. All existing jobs for the selected component(s) are displayed in the job table.

  2. Select the jobs that you want to execute.

    Tip

To see synchronization details, use the Show synchronization log button. The information will be displayed later in the Event log.

  3. Select the Execute selected jobs once button in the menu bar.

Result

  • The job(s) are executed.
  • A backup is created if the execution is successful.

Tip

If the job is selected in the job table, the results of the job execution are displayed in the job results table.
