EasyClient

The EasyClient allows you to perform the basic functions of octoplant:

• Create components or check them out from the server
• Edit the project data of the components
• Create new component versions and check them back in on the server.

The EasyClient interface provides a guided, intuitive workflow to support these tasks.

Switch to the UserClient

All actions available in the EasyClient are also available in the UserClient.

In addition, the UserClient offers extended features such as version comparison, job result displays, quicksaves, tagging, and more.

The EasyClient focuses on essential workflow steps and provides a simplified, guided user experience.

To switch directly to the UserClient without logging in again, select the UserClient button in the upper right corner of the interface.

Automatic logout

The octoplant clients automatically close under the following conditions:

• No user activity for 2 hours
• The client has been open for 48 hours (regardless of activity)
• The VDog MasterService is restarted while the client is open

This behavior is intended and not a technical error. Simply log in again to continue using the client.
