Directories¶

Components are managed in octoplant in directories, similar to a file system.

Creating a directory¶

1. In the Project tree, select a directory or directly the client archive in which you want to create a subdirectory.
2. Execute one of the following functions:
   • Press the F7 key.
   • Open the Project tree dropdown menu and select the New directory entry.
   • Right-click on the selected directory and select the New directory entry from the context menu.
3. The new directory is displayed in the Project tree.
4. Enter a name for the new directory.

Deleting a directory¶

You can only delete a directory in the EasyClient locally. It is not deleted on the server.

1. In the Project tree, select the directory you want to delete.
2. Execute one of the following functions:
   • Press the Delete key.
   • Open the Project tree dropdown menu and select the Delete entry.
   • Right-click on the selected directory and select the Delete entry in the context menu.

3. The Delete directory dialog is displayed.

   

   If the directory contains components, these are displayed in the dialog and deleted locally together with the directory upon confirmation.

   

   You can use a checkbox to specify whether the working directories of the components should also be deleted locally.

4. Confirm with Delete.

5. The directory is deleted locally.
