Components

Creating new components

  1. In the Project tree, select the directory in which the new component is to be created or create a new directory.
  2. Execute one of the following functions:
    • Press the F8 key.
    • Open the Project tree dropdown menu and select the New component entry.
    • Right-click on the selected directory and select the New component entry from the context menu.

  3. The Create new component dialog opens.

  4. In the Component type area, select the component type. The name of the selected component type is automatically entered as the name of the component in the Component directory and Working directory fields. You can change this at any time. To rename the component, simply edit the displayed paths.

  5. Select Create component.

The component is created locally on your computer.

Deleting a component

You can only delete a component in the EasyClient locally and not on the server.

  1. In the Project tree, select the component you want to delete.
  2. Execute one of the following functions:
    • Press the Delete key.
    • Open the Project tree dropdown menu and select the Delete entry.
    • Right-click on the selected component and select the Delete entry from the context menu.
    • Select the component in the Project tree and click on the button Icon garbage in the workspace.

  3. The Delete component dialog opens.

    If the component's working directory is also to be deleted, activate the corresponding checkbox.

  4. Confirm with Delete.

  5. The component is deleted locally.
