Solving inconsistencies¶
If inconsistencies were detected during the block comparison in LibraryManagement (status Obsolete, Invalid or Removed), the next step is to investigate and resolve them. To resolve the inconsistencies, you must decide which project is obsolete and make the changes in the corresponding editor.
Outdated Updating projects
- Open the obsolete project in LibraryManagement by selecting Open component in UserClient. The project is opened in the UserClient.
- Edit the project by selecting Open with editor.

Make the changes to the corresponding obsolete blocks. You can use the information provided in LibraryManagement to see which blocks in the library are obsolete.

Save the changes and close the editor.
- Go back to the UserClient, create a new version of the project and check it in.
- Open LibraryManagement to check the status.
Invalid Updating libraries

If you decide to update the blocks in the library, consider whether this update also applies to other projects linked to this library. If not, you may need to integrate a new library for the changed project.
- Select the standard library component in the Project tree and then select Open component in UserClient.
- The component is opened in the UserClient.
- Edit the standard library by selecting Open with editor.

Make the changes to the corresponding invalid blocks. Using the information provided in LibraryManagement, you can see which blocks have been changed in the projects and are invalid in the library.

Save the changes and close the editor.
- Go back to the UserClient, create a new version of the standard library and check it in.
- Open LibraryManagement to check the status.
Removed
If you remove blocks from the standard library, the projects linked to this library show the status Removed.
Using the information provided in LibraryManagement, you can determine which blocks have been removed from the standard library projects and decide how to proceed.
