Set the client language

The Octoplant clients are available in multiple languages, including German, Chinese, English, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish and Czech.

The language of the BackupClient is configured directly in the application itself and is independent of this.

To change the language:

  1. Open the Extras tab in the menu bar.
  2. Select the desired language from the Language dropdown menu in the Settings menu.

The Change language message is displayed, informing you that the application must be restarted to change the language.

  • To change the language immediately, select Restart now.
  • To keep using the application in the current language and restart it later, select Restart later.

The selected language applies after you restart the UserClient. Other clients you start afterward also use this language.

Alternatively, you can also change the language in the Client settings dialog. Here too, the application must be restarted to change the language.

The language of the server messages is defined in the AdminClient in the Global settings module.
