Copy versions to a directory

Use Copy version to directory to check out the latest or a previous version into a directory of your choice.

  1. Select the desired component in the Project tree.

  2. In the Change history, select the version to copy.

    The version is copied from the server archive, regardless of whether it is available locally.

  3. Select Copy version to directory.

    The Copy version to directory dialog is then displayed, in which the working directory of the component is preselected as the target directory.

    If the working directory is not empty, select one of the following options:

    • Delete contents then copy: Deletes the contents of the working directory, then copies the files from the selected version.
    • Replace and copy: Replaces existing files in the working directory with files from the selected version, then copies any new files.

    The behavior of Replace and copy depends on the data type

    Alternatively, select another empty directory using the Browse... button.

  4. Select Next to continue the process.
