Working with suppliers¶
If you work with people outside your company, they sometimes need to access your files and make changes to these files.

In octoplant, all external staff are called suppliers. The term refers to all persons who are not employees and are therefore not created as users in the the User management module in the AdminClient.
Suppliers can be integrated into octoplant so that they can edit projects even if they are not users in your octoplant system. Use Supplier Check-Out and SmartImport for supplier projects where you want to keep all the organization-related benefits (e.g. central data storage, documentation, version history and avoidance of duplication) but do not want to have a supplier as a user in your system.
