Work with jobs

Display information on jobs

To display information on the jobs available for the component, select the Jobs tab.

The following data is displayed for each job:

  • Latest job results: The comparison results of the last job execution (server version vs. backup, previous backup vs. backup)

    Tip

    You can also see the comparison results of the last job execution at a glance on one of the tiles at the top of the component overview.

  • Last execution: Time at which the job was last executed

  • Execution state: Indicates whether the job was executed automatically according to a schedule, manually or was done using the BackupClient
  • Next start: Time at which the job should next be executed

Select the arrow to the left of the job name for more information.

  • Job id: The ID of the job
  • Server version vs. Backup: Comparison results between the server version and the backup
  • Previous backup vs. Backup: Comparison results between the previous backup and the backup
  • Upload type: Upload type of the job. The upload type specifies which settings are available when the job is created. Upload types can be general or device-specific.
  • Schedule: Schedule for executing the job
  • on Error: Desired response to an error

Execute jobs

To execute a job, select the Start button in the corresponding row in the Jobs tab.

The job is executed. A backup is created if the job is successfully executed.

Display information on job results

To display the job results of an individual job, select the Figure: Icon Job results button in a row.

The following results are displayed in a separate dialog:

  • Job results: The comparison results of the job execution (server version vs. backup, previous backup vs. backup)
  • Executed on: Time at which the job was executed
  • Backup: Path of the directory in the server archive, where the current backup of the job was saved
  • Location: Host name of the computer which was used to execute the job
  • Version: Path of the directory in the server archive, where the current backup of the job was saved

Read comparison results

Possible comparison results are:

  • Figure: Icon Result red Error
  • Figure: Icon Result blue Different
  • Figure: Icon Result green Equal
  • Figure: Icon Result yellow Not compared/Not available
