Customizing existing components¶

If the components already exist in the Project tree and are checked in on the server, they have a component ID. This is displayed in the Component details in the UserClient. You can copy it directly from the Details tab.

With the Easy Asset Integrator, you can make changes using the component ID or the combination of name and component directory. The contents of the other columns can be changed. For example, you can add project data to empty components, create new versions of the project data or add or change the master data of components.
