Troubleshooting during installation

Some errors that can occur during installation and their solutions are listed below.

An error occurs during automatic installation

If both error messages ("Transfer with existing share..." and "Transfer with C$ share...") are displayed, the setup data for the Image Service cannot be transferred.

Check whether at least one share is available on the device that is to be backed up and whether the User stored in the job configuration has sufficient authorizations (write and read rights) for this share.

The automatic installation is started even though this is not desired

If the automatic installation is always started even though the service has already been installed manually, remove the credentials for the user in the Job configuration in the Image Service section and in the Global settings.

If the automatic installation is still started, check whether the certificate has been issued for the name or IP specified in the Device field in the job configuration. Make sure that these details match.

If this is not the case, create a new setup file with the web installer.

The services are installed, but error messages are still displayed

If the connection to the device that is to be backed up fails, check whether port 64007/TCP is enabled by the server or agent to the device. A quick check is possible via the hard disk overview. This only uses the port 64007/TCP and thus enables the check without additional ports (e.g. for file transfer).

You can test the ports with the following command in the PowerShell:

Test-NetConnection -Port 64007 -InformationLevel "Detailed"{IP/HOSTNAME TARGET COMPUTER}
