Installation using the web installer¶

If the Image Service cannot or should not be installed remotely, a web installer is available.
To activate the web installer, proceed as follows:
- Start the AdminClient and open the Jobs module.
- Click on the Global job settings button in the menu bar.
- The Upload type specific configuration dialog opens.
- Select the Image Service tab in the navigation bar on the left.

In the Web installer section, activate the Enable web installer checkbox.

The link
http://{PC name}:64008
is highlighted in blue. - Confirm the change with OK.
If the web installer is activated, you can use it to install the Image Service on the device that is to be backed up. To do this, you must execute the link displayed in the Web installer section either on the server or directly on the device to be backed up.

The Setup Download Form page is displayed in the browser.

You will also find instructions on how to use the web installer on the Setup Download Form website.

Enter the computer name of the device you want to back up and click on the Download button.

The files required to install the Image Service are downloaded and made available as a ZIP archive.
- Once you have executed the link on the server, copy the ZIP archive to the device you wish to back up.
- Extract the ZIP archive.
- Run the
install.bat
application as administrator.
The Image Service is installed on the device.
