Creating a boot stick

You can download the application for installing the boot stick from our website at https://my.auvesy-mdt.com/home.html with the appropriate access data.

Prerequisites

  • The boot stick can only be created on computers with the Windows 10 operating system. Depending on the system on which the boot stick is created, it is 32-bit or 64-bit capable.

    Examples:

    1. Creation on a Windows 10 32-bit system:

      • A 32-bit version of the boot stick is created.
      • This can be used to start 32-bit UEFI and BIOS PCs as well as 64-bit BIOS PCs.
    2. Creation on a Windows 10 64-bit system:

      • A 64-bit version of the boot stick is created.
      • This can be used to start 64-bit UEFI and BIOS PCs.
  • It is recommended to use a USB stick with at least 8 GB of storage space.

Procedure

  1. Run the Bootstick-creator.exe application as administrator.
  2. The wizard for creating the boot stick is started with the following message:

  3. Confirm the message with OK.

  4. Make sure to deactivate the checkbox in the Create recovery drive dialog to not back up the system files.
  5. Select the desired drive in the Select USB memory stick dialog.
  6. Complete the process in the The recovery drive is ready dialog with Complete.
  7. After the wizard is completed, you will be asked again for the USB drive. Here, select the drive that you also selected when running the wizard in step 5.

  8. The boot stick can now be used.

The image can be saved directly on the USB stick as well as on a network share or a hard disk. The image can then be selected accordingly when booting the operating system.
