Creating jobs¶
To create jobs for image creation with Acronis, a component with the component type PC-Images/Acronis is required.
To create a job for Acronis, proceed as follows:

Only the settings in the job configuration that are relevant for creating the images are described here.
- Start the AdminClient and open the Jobs module.
- Select your Acronis component in the Project tree.
- Click on the Create button in the ribbon or drag and drop the component into the Jobs area.
- Check whether the upload type Acronis is displayed in the Job configuration area.
- Configure the general sections General, Notification, Upload and compare and Create a version automatically after job run. The sections Notification and Create a version automatically after job run are only displayed if the settings required for this have been made.

In the Acronis settings section, make the following settings:
- In the Type dropdown list, select whether an image of the entire computer (entire machine) or only of one drive (--volume or --disk) should be created.
- For Device, enter the system name or IP address of the device whose image should be created. Also enter the login information for the computer in the User and Password fields.
- For Max. bandwidth (kb or p) optionally limit the bandwidth for uploading the image. The limit can be specified in absolute (kb) or percentage (p) terms.
- Under Exclude files, exclude defined files from saving. Multiple files are separated by commas and must not contain a space before or after the separator.
- Under Parameter file, enter a path to the Acronis parameter file.

Make the following settings in the Storage path section:

It is not possible to store the image in the server archive.
- In the Path field, enter the path to the directory in which the images are to be stored. The path
\\ACRONIS_MMS\Images
is entered by default. - If the directory requires authentication, activate the checkbox Authentication and enter the login information in the User and Password fields.

Make the following settings in the Differential backup section:
If you want to create differential backups, select the Create differential images checkbox. Also specify the period for creating a differential backup after the last full backup. A full backup is always created after this period has expired. -
Save the job.
Test the job using the Execute selected jobs once button. The results of the job execution and any errors are displayed in the Job results area.
