Configuring the comparison for AVEVA System Platform

The comparison for AVEVA System Platform can use the extended address space on a 64-bit system and thus also process very large projects.

For Wonderware or AVEVA System Platform components, you can exclude defined variables from the comparison when needed. A dedicated comparator configuration is available for this purpose, which you can dynamically adjust using a wildcard character (*) in the free-text field.

  1. Open the Comparison configuration dialog.
  2. If there are several projects in a component, select the corresponding project from the dropdown menu.

  3. Depending on whether you have selected a .cab file or an .aaPKG file or Default, different fields are displayed in the Comparison configuration dialog.

    If you have selected a .cab file:

    1. Select an SQL server
    2. Select the Export Galaxy to CAB each time a new version is created checkbox.
    3. Enter GR-Node, the Galaxy and your credentials to the Galaxy.

    If you have selected a .aaPKG file:

    1. Select the Export objects to aaPKG each time a new version is created checkbox.
    2. Enter GR-Node, the Galaxy and your credentials to the Galaxy.
    3. Enter or remove objects and areas.

  4. Confirm with OK.
