Integrating projects

Due to the structure of FANUC CNC projects, we recommend managing the project data in three different components. Proceed as follows:

Integrating existing projects

  1. Create a new directory in the UserClient with 3 components, one for the PMC data, one for the CNC data and one for the SRAM backup. For each of these components, select FANUC CNC in the FANUC directory as the component type.

    Info

A separate job should be created for each of these components.

  2. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder in which your FANUC CNC project is stored.

  3. Copy the LAD file of the FANUC CNC project to the working directory of the component for PMC files. Leave the components for the SRAM backup and the CNC data empty.
  4. Select the component for the PMC data in the UserClient and click on the button Create base version and Check-In.
  5. Select the components for the SRAM backup and the CNC data in the UserClient and click on the button Check-In without base version.

Integrating new projects

  1. Create a new directory in the UserClient with 3 components, one for the PMC data, one for the CNC data and one for the SRAM backup. For each of these components, select FANUC CNC in the FANUC directory as the component type.

    Info

A separate job should be created for each of these components.

  2. Start FANUC LADDER-III.

  3. First configure the Compile options for your FANUC project using the menu call tool > option > compile.
  4. Create a new project and save the project data in the corresponding FANUC CNC components (as described above).
  5. Make sure that the MCARD file is always saved as well.
  6. Select the FANUC CNC directory in the Project tree in the UserClient and click on the button Create base version and Check-In.

The FANUC project is now integrated and can be managed and versioned.

Info

You can customize your FANUC FANUC CNC component type in the AdminClient, Component type editor module.
