Configuring comparisons

In KISTLER projects, you can exclude defined tags and properties from the comparison if this may be necessary.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Open the UserClient.
  2. Select the component you want to customize.
  3. Select the Edit tab in the menu bar or in the context menu (right mouse button) Edit component configuration.
  4. Click on the Comparator configuration button. The Comparison configuration dialog opens.
  5. If there are several projects in a component, select the corresponding project from the dropdown menu.
  6. Under File structure, click on the green plus sign Icon plus or right-click in the empty field. The Add tag dialog opens. Under Tag settings, enter the Tagnames and activate the Exclude from comparison checkbox.

  7. Deactivate the checkbox if you want to enter properties under Exclude properties:. Click OK.

  8. Click on the Icon import button to import the XML file structure. Note that importing the XML file structure deletes the current configuration.

  9. Click on the Apply button to save the configuration.

You can only execute the comparator configuration if a corresponding file (XML) has already been stored in the component. The exact file extension depends on the Component type comparator configuration.
