MITSUBISHI MELSOFT GX Works2

MELSOFT GX Works is the development environment for FX, L and Q series controllers. It is part of the iQ Works Suite, but can also be purchased and used separately.

octoplant it supports both GX Works2 and GX Works3. The instructions in this tutorial only refer to GX Works2, GX Works3 is covered in a separate tutorial.

Other requirements

  • The VDog MasterService or VDog UploadAgent may not be executed under the system account, but must be executed under a user account.
  • The installation of a MELSOFT GX Works editor is mandatory for the comparison.
  • All editors from version 1.507D are supported.
  • octoplant only supports GX Works projects of the Structured Project project type. The project type Simple Project is not supported as it cannot be exported in the MITSUBISHI editor. The project type can be selected when creating a new project.
