Uploading with the Standard License of the editor is only possible from version 10 onward. For versions below 10, a Professional License is required.
Other system requirements
- The version of RSLogix 5 (Standard and Professional Edition) software must be installed on the same computer as the octoplant server. If the software is installed on a different computer, an agent is required.
- Either RSLinx Classic or FactoryTalk Linx (formerly RSLinx Enterprise Edition) must be installed on the same computer as the octoplant server. If installed on another computer, an agent is required.
- If upgrading to FactoryTalk Linx, RSLinx Classic must be uninstalled first. Additionally, the communication path in the job configuration must be manually reconfigured.
- If using agents in a FactoryTalk Linx upgrade, ensure that the agent services are running with administrative privileges.
