Other requirements
- The version of the RSLogix 500 or (Standard Edition or Professional Edition) software used must be running on the computer on which the octoplant server is installed. If the software is installed on another computer, you need an agent.
- The software RSLinx Classic (version 3.51 or higher) or FactoryTalk Linx, formerly known as RSLinx Enterprise Edition (version 5.51 or higher) must be running on the computer on which the octoplant server is installed. If the software is installed on a different computer, you will need an Agent.
- For a FactoryTalk Linx upgrade, the RSLinx Classic software must be uninstalled and the communication path (in the job configuration) must be entered manually. If you are using agents in a FactoryTalk Linx upgrade, the agent services must be run with administrator rights.
