Integrating projects¶
Integrate existing projects¶
If a project or a backup of the device program already exists, proceed as follows:
- Create a new component in the UserClient. Select Scalance as the component type in the Siemens directory.
- In Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder in which your Scalance project is saved.

Move the project data to the component's working directory.

To do this, drag and drop the project data onto the component in the Project tree.

Select the Scalance component in the Project tree in the UserClient and select the button Create base version and Check-In.
Your Scalance project is now integrated and can be managed.
Integrate project if no project data is available¶
Jobs can also be executed and backups created for Scalance switches if no project data has been checked in. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Create a new component in the UserClient. Select Scalance as the component type in the Siemens directory.
- Select the Scalance component in the Project tree in the UserClient and click on the button Check-In without base version.
- Create a job and execute it.
- Open the UserClient and navigate to your component. Under the Jobs tab select the backup, click Copy backup to directory and copy the backup to the working directory.
- Create a base version.
