Comparing settings

In the compare settings, you can specify whether blocks should be compared by content or by length and structure. Individual blocks can also be excluded from the comparison. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Start the UserClient.
  2. Right-click on the component for which you want to change the settings to open the context menu.
  3. Select the Edit component configuration button.
  4. In the Component configuration dialog, select Comparator configuration ....
  5. In the Comparison configuration dialog, make the desired settings and confirm them, by selecting the OK button.
  6. In the Edit component configuration dialog, select the Apply button.

FAQ

Why does the versioning of an S5 for Windows project fail with the error message #30401 or #31102?

  • If you are working with the S5 Editor for Windows (Version 5.14), path specifications must not contain spaces. Make sure that this is the case and repeat the process.

  • S5 for Windows projects that contain S7 Blocks cannot be converted by octoplant.
