Creating jobs

  • There is currently no separate upload class for WinCC flexible.
  • You can upload the data of an engineering station (create a Backup via the machine network) using a UNC job or a Local job. The prerequisite for this is that the runtime of the HMI is ended beforehand. If you use the backup tool Prosave, which is supplied with the TIA Portal, you must shut down the Panel PCs before the upload.
  • Panel PCs can only be backed up to a limited extent. You can save the backup on a defined network share.
  • Recipe data can be imported via panels on a network share or exported from there. octoplant can then save the data via UNC.

To configure a UNC job for SIMATIC WinCC flexible in octoplant

Info

The UNC job can be set up with or without agents. If the WinCC flexible editor is not installed on the computer on which the comparison is to take place, a Compare agent is required.

  1. Start the AdminClient and open the Jobs module.
  2. In the Project tree, select the component for which you want to create a job.
  3. Click on the Create button in the menu bar or drag the component into the Jobs area using Drag and drop.
  4. Check whether the Upload type Network (UNC) is displayed in the Job configuration area.
  5. Check whether the settings you require have been made in the following sections: General, Notification, Upload and compare and Create a version automatically after job run. The sections Notification and Create a version automatically after job run are only displayed if the required settings have been implemented.
  6. In the Network (UNC) settings section under Username and Password, enter the domain/user or computer name/user and your password.
  7. In Resource and Subdirectory, enter the directory in which the project data is stored. If the network connection is successful, select the correct directory from the dropdown menu.
  8. Click on Check to check access to the resource.
  9. In the Advanced section, you can adjust the data transfer on your network if necessary.
  10. Optional step: In the File specifications and compare settings section, you can adjust the comparison for the job. Select the Enable custom configuration for this job checkbox and then click on Edit.
  11. Enter the desired files in the Settings for backup files dialog.
  12. Save the job and click on Execute selected jobs once to test it.
  13. You can view the results of the job execution and the possible errors in Job results.
