Creating jobs

  1. Start the AdminClient and open the Jobs module.
  2. Select a Sinumerik ONE component in the Project tree.
  3. Select the Create button in the ribbon or drag and drop the component into the Jobs area.
  4. Check whether the upload type Sinumerik ONE is displayed in the Job configuration area.
  5. Configure the general sections General, Notification, Upload and compare and Create a version automatically after job run. The sections Notification and Create a version automatically after job run are only displayed if the settings required for this have been made. If no project data has been versioned in the General, select Previous backup <-> Backup: under Upload and compare and comparison under Compare policy.

    If there are problems with the execution of the plugin, the upload may fail. Under job execution by schedule, specify in the General section when and how often the job execution should be repeated using the setting On error:.

  6. Configure the Sinumerik ONE settings section.

    1. Enter the name of the archive that the job is to create in the Name of the archive field. The file extension of the archive must be .dsf. If there is a version of the archive in the component that is to be compared with the job result, both archives must have the same name. A serial commissioning archive (SIBN archive) in DSF format (Data Storage Folder) is always created when the job is executed.
    2. In the Device field, enter the name or the IP address of the HMI for which the job is to be executed.
    3. in the Port field, enter the port via which octoplant should communicate with the plugin. This must correspond to the port of the plugin.
    4. In the Archive type dropdown menu, you can select whether all data of this machine or the data of the machine series should be backed up.
  7. Configure the Backup section:

    1. Use the corresponding checkboxes to activate which data should be backed up in the DSF archive.

      Info

      The PLC checkbox is grayed out by default and cannot be activated, as creating a backup puts the PLC into a STOP status. This is a behavior of the device itself, which octoplant currently has no influence on.

  8. In the Backup conditions section, you can link the creation of the backup to certain conditions:

    1. Activate All channels in 'Reset' so that a warning is issued in the job results if not all channels were in reset during job execution.
    2. activate No tool in spindle so that a warning is issued in the job results if a tool was in the spindle during job execution.
    3. Configure the File specifications and compare settings section.

  9. Here you can customize the comparison for the job.

    1. Activate the Enable custom configuration for this job checkbox.
    2. Click the Edit button.
    3. The Settings for backup files dialog wil open.

  10. Save the job and run it.

    The compare settings only apply to the job for which they were made. The compare settings can be applied to other jobs in the Jobs list using drag and drop.
