Restoring devices
If a device fails or an unauthorized change to the program has been detected during job execution, the device needs to be restored. There are two options for this.
-
Restore with a version
You can always restore a device with a version, if the version on the server is newer than the version on the device.
-
Restore with a backup
This option can be an alternative if a new backup is created during job execution and the latest version is therefore available.Backups created by an octoplant job are not always suitable to restore a device. The information whether a backup is suitable for a restore or not is available on the overview page of the device (Restorable backup).
Restoring with a version
If a version of the project data was stored on the server, you can restore it to the device.
