Configure jobs with the Local directory upload type

  1. Create a job with the Local directory upload type.

  2. Under Local directory settings, enter the path of the data you want to back up.

The path is accessed via the VDog MasterService or the agent service. These services must have the necessary access rights.

  3. Under Advanced, reduce network load by increasing the Sleep interval between data packets and decreasing the Maximum size of data packets.

Higher values for the waiting time and lower values for the maximum packet size mean that the job execution takes more time.

  4. Select the Upload only when timestamp is different (reduces network load) checkbox to compare file timestamps instead of file contents during upload. In this case, only new or changed files are uploaded. Unchanged files are taken from the previous backup, which further reduces network load.
