Storage structure

When a job for image creation is executed, a directory is created in which the images are saved. The file is stored in a subdirectory for each job.

This structure is composed as follows by default:

Figure: File structure in Windows Explorer

The root directory, e.g. \\ACRONIS_MMS\Images, is specified during job configuration. A subdirectory is created for each job in the root directory, the name of which corresponds to the job ID.

Example: \\ACRONIS_MMS\Images\15FE9F72A5B24F13AB374282C3F32932

When the job is executed to create a full backup, a directory with the created image is created.

Example: \\ACRONIS_MMS\Images\15FE9F72A5B24F13AB374282C3F32932\DemoUpload_20181212180547

For a differential backup, the image created is placed in the same directory as the image of the full backup.

In Job configuration, specify how many images are to be retained (rollover). If the set value is reached, the new image overwrites the oldest one. After the image is created, the directory structure is checked and automatically cleaned up. If more images are stored than defined in the rollover, the excess folders are deleted using the creation date.
