Configuring Acronis Backup jobs

  1. Create a job with the Acronis upload type.
  2. Go to the Acronis settings section.

  3. From the Type dropdown menu, select whether an image of the entire computer (entire machine) or only of one drive (--volume or --disk) should be created.

  4. In the Device field, enter the system name or IP address of the device whose image should be created.
  5. In the User and Password fields, enter the credentials for the computer.
  6. Optional: Limit the bandwidth for uploading the image in the Max. bandwidth (kb or p). The limit can be specified in absolute terms (kb) or as a percentage (p).
  7. In the Exclude files field, define the files you want to exclude from saving. Separate multiple files with commas, and do not include spaces before or after the separator.
  8. In the Parameter file field, enter a path to the Acronis parameter file.

  9. Go to the Storage path section.

  10. In the Path field, enter the path to the directory in which the images are to be stored. The default value is \\ACRONIS_MMS\Images.

    It is not possible to store the image in the server archive.

  11. If the directory requires authentication, select the Authentication checkbox. Then enter the login information in the User and Password fields.

  12. Go to the Differential backup section.

  13. To create differential backups, select the Create differential images checkbox.

  14. Specify how long after the last full backup differential backups should be created. Once this period expires, a new full backup will be automatically performed.
