Configuring jobs for Cognex DataMan Scanner

  1. Create a job with the Cognex Sensors upload type.
  2. Go to the Cognex Sensors settings section.
  3. Select the DataMan device class under Type.
  4. From the dropdown menu Project, select the configuration file Projectname.cfg.
  5. In the Device field, enter the IP address or the name of the device.
  6. In the Port field, change the port, if necessary. Port 23 is set by default.
  7. In the User and Password fields, enter the credentials for the user account used to access the device.

The backup created is identical to the project created by DataMan. The result is suitable for disaster recovery and further processing.
