Configure jobs for GE Cimplicity
There is no specific upload type available for GE Cimplicity.
However, you can still perform an automatic backup of the projects by using the Local directory upload for this purpose.
-
Create a job with the Local directory upload type.
-
Under Local directory settings, enter the path of the data you want to back up.
The path is accessed via the VDog MasterService or the agent service. These services must have the necessary access rights.
-
Under Advanced, reduce network load by increasing the Sleep interval between data packets and decreasing the Maximum size of data packets.
Higher values for the waiting time and lower values for the maximum packet size mean that the job execution takes more time.
-
Select the Upload only when timestamp is different (reduces network load) checkbox to compare file timestamps instead of file contents during upload. In this case, only new or changed files are uploaded. Unchanged files are taken from the previous backup, which further reduces network load.
Don't restore from the backup
Cimplicity loads the database into the RAM and synchronizes it with the files in the runtime data folder. As a result, a backup is only a snapshot of the project.
Restoring the device with the backup can cause data loss.
