SINUMERIK Operate plugin

To integrate SINUMERIK Operate projects into octoplant, you must install the SINUMERIK ONE plugin on the HMI. You can find the latest version of the plugin in the Tools/Sinumerik/Operate subdirectory of the octoplant setup.

The plugin version must match the SINUMERIK Operate version. Different versions are incompatible with each other. Only the first three digits of the version number (XX.XX.XX) are relevant for plugin installation.

You can locate the correct SINUMERIK Operate version using one of the two methods described below.

Reading out the SINUMERIK Operate version using the HMI

  1. Select the menu select button.
  2. In the menu, select the diagnosis entry.
  3. Select the version button. The Version data dialog opens.

  4. In the Version data dialog, select the NCU system software line and then select Details.

  5. The SINUMERIK operate version (XX.XX.XX) is displayed in a separate line.

  6. If the version numbers of the PCU and the NCU differ, use the version number of the PCU.

Reading the SINUMERIK Operate version from the version.xml file

In the file system, you can find the version in the version.xml file in the SINUMERIK Operate attribute section in the version tag.

The version.xml file is located:

  • On the NCU: \card\siemens\sinumerik\hmi
  • On the PCU: {Drive}:\{Installation directory}\Siemens\MotionControl\Siemens
