Configuring jobs for Siemens SINUMERIK ONE

  1. Create a job with the Sinumerik ONE upload type.
  2. Go to the Sinumerik ONE settings section.

  3. In the Name of the archive field, enter the name of the archive that the job will create. The archive must use the .dsf file extension. If the component contains a version of the archive to be compared with the job result, both archives must have the same name. The system always creates a serial commissioning archive (SIBN archive) in DSF format (Data Storage Folder) when executing the job.

  4. In the Device field, enter the name or the IP address of the HMI targeted by the job.
  5. In the Port field, enter the port that octoplant will use to communicate with the plugin. This port must match the plugin’s configured port.
  6. From the Archive type dropdown menu, select whether to back up all data for this specific machine or for the entire machine series.

  7. Go to the Backup section.

  8. Select the corresponding checkboxes to activate which data should be backed up in the DSF archive.

    Info

The PLC checkbox is grayed out by default and cannot be activated because creating a backup puts the PLC into STOP mode. This behavior is determined by the device itself and cannot currently be controlled by octoplant.

  9. Go to the Backup conditions section.

  10. Select All channels in 'Reset', to display a warning in the job results if not all channels were in reset during the job execution.

  11. Select No tool in spindle, to display a warning in the job results if a tool was in the spindle during the job execution.
