Opening components automatically in the UserClient

In the Components, Job Status, Job Log and Job Duration dashboards, you can open the component directly in the UserClient using the component path. In the Component Log dashboard, you can open the component using its name.

The prerequisite for this is that the log extension is registered in the Client settings dialog in the UserClient in order to start octoplant using the web link.

  1. Click on the component path.
  2. A dialog for selecting a program to open the link is usually displayed. By default, VDogClient.exe is already stored in this dialog.
  3. Select the VDogClient.exe application and confirm your selection.
  4. The UserClient login dialog will then open.
  5. Log into the UserClient with your user data.
  6. After logging in, the corresponding component is displayed in the UserClient.

If the UserClient is opened, the corresponding component wil be displayed directly in the UserClient when you select on the component path.
