Analyzing project files

With the File Detective tool, which is available in the Tools category, you can load files in an archive into the system. The system analyzes the files and displays information about the file, such as file type, file extension and path, as well as the matching comparator in octoplant.

File Detective saves time and money by analyzing project data and suggesting the right Comparator within seconds. Based on these recommendations, new component types can be easily integrated into octoplant.

The files themselves are not stored in the system. The information on the files can be saved as a CSV file.

  1. Click on the Select file for analysis button.
  2. Select a file in the file system and open it. If you select a ZIP file, all files contained in it are analyzed.

  3. The information on the files is listed in the Analysis result area.
