Adding a new license to your myAMDT account

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in to your myAMDT account.
  • You have access to the license details (Serial Number and Issue Date & Time).
  • If you are unsure where to find these details, select the How to find my license information? button on the form.

Info

The license file displays time in 24-hour format. Depending on your locale, the form may use a 12-hour (AM/PM) format. Double-check that the entered time matches the correct hour format (e.g., 13:30 → 1:30 PM).

Trailing spaces

When entering the Serial Number, ensure there are no trailing spaces. These are not automatically removed and will cause validation to fail.

Procedure

  1. From the top navigation bar, select My Products.

  2. In the left-hand panel, select My Licenses.

  3. On the License Overview page, select Add New License.

  4. In the Serial Number field, enter the license number exactly as shown in your license file.

    Ensure there is no trailing space.

  5. In the Serial Number Issue Date and Time field, enter the date and time from your license file.

    If needed, select How to find my license information? for guidance.

    If your browser displays a 12-hour (AM/PM) picker, convert the license’s 24-hour format accordingly (e.g., 13:30 → 1:30 PM).

  6. Select Add Account.

Once successfully added, the license will appear in your License Overview.

Troubleshooting

License could not be validated

  • Re-enter the Serial Number and confirm there are no trailing spaces.
  • Verify the Issue Date & Time and convert correctly between 24-hour and 12-hour formats if necessary.
  • Use the How to find my license information button for assistance.

Time field rejects the value

  • Enter the date in your locale’s expected format and adjust the hour accordingly.
  • Use the time picker icon if available to avoid formatting issues.

FAQ

Can I add multiple licenses?

Yes. Simply repeat the Add New License process for each license you wish to attach.

Where can I find the license details?

Select How to find my license information? on the form to locate the Serial Number and Issue Date & Time in your license file.
